Choose to see the historic streets of Charleston where you will see the beautiful buildings and churches of the Queen City of the South. This tour includes some of our city’s most significant landmarks, such as Rainbow Row, The Battery & Battery Row Homes, White Point Gardens, and some of Charleston’s most beautiful churches.
Or choose to visit Middleton Plantation. Two of America’s Founding Fathers called Middleton Place home: Henry Middleton, a president of the First Continental Congress, and his son Arthur Middleton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Now a National Historic Landmark, it is home to 65 acres of America’s oldest landscaped Gardens; a House Museum filled with Middleton family possessions; Plantation Stableyards with heritage breeds and artisans demonstrating the skills needed to maintain an 18th and 19th century rice plantation; and Eliza’s House, a freedman’s dwelling that serves as the centerpiece of Middleton Place’s interpretation of the lives and legacy of the enslaved people who built and maintained the property.
