A Perfect Day in Charleston, South Carolina – Part Three
From the wildlife to the sunsets, Charleston is home to many beautiful beachy vibes. Sitting only 12 miles from downtown, Folly Beach is a great spot to explore or relax. Want to stay in the city but crave the salty ocean views? Take in the breathtaking views of the sun setting over the city on a sunset boat cruise from Sandlapper Tours. While you’re taking in the gorgeous views, keep your eyes out for our aquatic friends. After all, sunset is the best time of day to see dolphins playing in the Charleston Harbor! A bit of a drive from Downtown Charleston, but worth it, Magnolia Gardens and the Angel Oak Tree are two destinations that will leave you speechless. Selected as one of “America’s Most Beautiful Gardens” by Travel and Leisure Magazine, Magnolia Gardens is the only garden in South Carolina with this distinction. With public gardens that date back to 1870, you’ll be engulfed in the sight and smell of thousands of flowers. The Angel Oak Tree is one of the oldest living trees east of the Mississippi River. This tree looks like it was taken right out of a fairytale. Estimated to be 400-500 years old, this tree has survived all that Mother Nature has thrown its way while maintaining it’s sprawling natural beauty.
Charleston is a city full of adventures and experiences. However you choose to spend your 3 days, it’ll be a trip to remember!
