Ecology Programs

Average Duration – 2 Hours

On the Morris Island Beach Ecology Tour, your class will cruise along the Battery and past Ft. Sumter on the way to Morris Island for a beach walk with licensed Naturalists. During the cruise, our crew will pull a crab pot so students can see and feel the contents in an onboard touch-tank. We will learn about the estuary where Charleston’s three major rivers converge with the Atlantic; look for osprey, dolphins, and other wildlife and sea-life; and even hunt for shark teeth.
