![]() A re you in search of Charleston's tideland treasures? Then join our local naturalist aboard the Palmetto to discover coastal wildlife. Take pleasure in being in the midst of a maritime forest while meandering down a salt-marsh creek or two (tide dependent). Sneak close up views of wading and shore birds, such as Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Eastern Brown Pelicans, and Least Terns, in their natural habitat. Dolphins are often seen at play as they grace us with their presence in the creeks and the harbor. Our naturalist will discuss the habitats of the abundant wildlife as seen in Charleston harbors' estuaries. We may troll the ocean floor, pull crab pots, and add to our touch tank on board. Does a stroll down an uninhabited barrier island sound appealing? Perhaps you would be interested in a walk on the beach with us near the Morris Island Lighthouse. Shells anyone? You will be sure to be refreshed after spending an afternoon in the salty air and discovering "where the wild things are". Pictures from Nature Tours ![]() |
