From Mt. Pleasant (over the Cooper River Bridge)
Take the "old bridge" into Charleston. At the bottom of the bridge take the first right. Go up one block and take the next right (at the flashing light). Go down and take a right at the stop light onto East Bay Street. Take a left on Calhoun Street at the intersection of East Bay Street and Calhoun Street. Follow Calhoun Street until it comes to a dead end. At the dead end, take a right onto Concord Street. Take the next left onto Inspection Street and drive to the gravel parking lot at the Charleston Maritime Center. The Sandlapper boat is located on the far left dock. Tickets can be purchased at the boat. |
From I-26:
Take the Meeting Street exit and follow the signs to the Charleston Visitors Center. You will pass the Visitors Center on your right. Take a left onto Calhoun Street. Follow Calhoun Street until it comes to a dead end. At the dead end, take a right onto Concord Street. Take the next left onto Inspection Street and drive to the gravel parking lot at the Charleston Maritime Center. The Sandlapper boat is located on the far left dock. Tickets can be purchased at the boat. |

Follow Bohicket Road to the Main Road intersection. Turn left onto Main road and follow to Hwy 17 North. Proceed on Hwy 17 North until you come to the Ashley River Bridge. Cross the Ashley River Bridge into the Downtown area. Stay in the right hand lane. Directly across the bridge veer right onto Calhoun Street. Get into the left hand lane and follow the signs to Calhoun Street. Take a left at the first traffic light still following the signs to Calhoun Street. Follow Calhoun Street until it comes to a dead end. At the dead end, take a right onto Concord Street. Take the next left onto Inspection Street and drive to the gravel parking lot at the Charleston Maritime Center. The Sandlapper boat is located on the far left dock. From West Ashley
Heading North on U.S. Hwy 17, cross the Ashley River Bridge into the downtown area. Stay in the right hand lane. Directly across the bridge veer right to Calhoun Street. Get into the left hand lane and follow the signs to Calhoun Street. Take a left at the first traffic light still following the signs to Calhoun Street. Follow Calhoun Street until it comes to a dead end. At the dead end, take a right onto Concord Street.
